This is an informal group providing two meetings per month. The first is for those who are HIV positive or living with AIDS; it emphasizes helping people learn to advocate effectively for themselves. The second is for their family, friends, and loved ones. Both meetings include speakers, mutual support, and empowerment. La Jornada Positiva (1654,782)
is a Latina group for any adult who is HIV+. It’s run in Spanish in a relaxed fashion with opportunities for the members to take part actively as they wish. Agape Family Center Adolescent Group (1577,782)
This is a weekly daytime meeting for children ages 8-16 who are affected by HIV/AIDS (that means that they are infected or are close to someone who has HIV/AIDS).
