Positive Connections / Family & Friends (1479,782) This is an informal group providing two meetings per month. The first is for those who are HIV positive or living with AIDS; it emphasizes helping people learn to advocate effectively for themselves. The second is for their family, friends, and loved ones. Both meetings include speakers, mutual support, and empowerment. The group provides a free meal, free daycare (for all ages), and limited free transportation. La Jornada Positiva (1654,782) is a Latina group for any adult who is HIV+. It’s run in Spanish in a relaxed fashion with opportunities for the members to take part actively as they wish. Agape Family Center Adolescent Group (1577,782) This is a weekly daytime meeting for children ages 8-16 who are affected by HIV/AIDS (that means that they are infected or are close to someone who has HIV/AIDS).
