s we all know, “Education is Power” and power enables one to achieve the goals that may bring them success. With success comes an opportunity that enables individuals to have choices not necessarily possible without furthering one's education.

The job market is huge and with the proper education, opportunities can be plentiful. Normally a person with a good job will have health insurance options which will allow them the freedom of access to healthcare and prescription benefits that are much needed by persons with bleeding disorders.

Eligible scholarship applicants include individuals living with Hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease. A minimum of 20 scholarships will be awarded ranging in value from $500-$2,500. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following requirements:
  1. Must have a bleeding disorder as defined above
  2. Must be a United States resident
  3. Must be entering or attending a community college, junior college, four-year college, university, or vocational school in the fall of 2013
  4. Community involvement and/or volunteer work
