Charitable donations to various causes is a time honored tradition in the United States. Our country uses its generosity to fund not only domestic charitable efforts but also those around the world. Henry (Hank) Goldstein, CFRE, chair of the Giving USA Foundation www.givingusa.org states that “Charitable giving is the lifeblood of more than a million American nonprofits. These contributions fund research in medicine, the social sciences, endow scholarships, support museums and orchestras and so much more”. The latest figures for a full year from the Giving USA Foundation show that in 2004, estimated charitable giving reached $248.52 billion, a new record for philanthropic giving in the United States1.

MedPro Rx wholeheartedly applauds this philanthropic effort by people everywhere for the many worthy charitable causes. As a specialty pharmacy provider of services to those with certain chronic illnesses like hemophilia and certain autoimmune neuromuscular and rheumatologic disorders, it is our hope that the many worthy charities sponsoring medical research, education and outreach programs are included in your charitable donation plans.
